View Full Version : Real Nav and position
Hi all,
Just a quick one: why my navigator is able to calculate my position while underwater :o ?
I think he shouldn't be...is there a way to make it not working underwater?

Hi all,

I think he shouldn't be...is there a way to make it not working underwater?Only dead reckoning , not celestial navigation . The navigator isnt as accurate at determining a fix by dead reckoning . Celestial fix is more accurate .
Ah, yes...but celestial fix with lat/long coordinates can't be draw precisely on actual map because we are missing plenty degrees lines...so to me the dead reckoning is still the more accurate! :D
By the way, is there any way to keep just our hydro contact line (dashed would be best) in real navigation please?

That would defeat real nav as you would know your exact current position :yep:

You are clueless. All degree marks are available. Zoom out.

:haha: :/\\!! Yeah, of course...sometime i should take some sleep...
I have great trouble to find out the ennemy precise heading/position using hydro.
I've watched Stoianm tuto using 4 bearing method, but i'm lost...(and not English native)

Degrees yes, but minutes?
How do you plot your precise position without minutes?:hmmm:

You can calculate minutes without having them drawn on the map... anyone who has had to perform navigation with a map (on land or water) has done it.

use the ruler and / the square by 60:up:

Always using GPS :haha:

Thanks again Trevally
That make sens of course!
