Get just sh5 or the whole pack from steam?
New member btw. I'm Greek and lately I've been watching a bunch of submarine movies... they are never enough, but I need more! I have to say, they got me so excited just by the fact that a sub can squeeze so much tech in so little room! I assume I'm not the only one.
Thoughts or alternative suggestions?
I also need to know if I can play either of them without internet. My ISP hates me :(
Don't buy it from Steam!
You'll not be able to fix some bugs from SH5 release...

Thanks for the tip. What should I do instead? Atm I have sh4 demo (haven't played much though, started 2 days ago) I want the full version or some other subsim to start.
It seems you can buy it here: http://www.subsim.com/store.html

Buy the hard disc through Amazon (Top right of the subsim site) like stated before, with Steam, you cannot patch some of the problems with the game. Im a fan of discs anyways, I hate freaking needing to get on another program to play the one I want :nope:

OK i'm back from my trip. All my posts were from my mobile phone. I couldn't see the linked pages...
If i get the downloaded version from amazon, can i still patch the problems you mentioned earlier? AND does subsim still get some money from my purchase?
I'm really noob when it comes to things like these.
Also, having played a few hours of SH4 doesn't make me a know-how by one bit...
Should i get another version? I read the review for SH3 and it looks like it's kind of superior to SH5...
I need your help as I'm one click away.
PS: I hate CD versions as most late games lack great book manuals :(, or am i wrong?

If you use the Amazon link here it doesn't matter what you buy. Books, games, MP3 downloads, guitars. I've bought them all, and it has been confirmed that Subsim got a piece of the actions.

There is no great manual that comes with the game, no matter what version you buy. The good supermods do come with manuals many hundreds of pages long though.
I'm the opposite. I hate buying downloaded versions. With a disc I always know that if I screw it up I can take the entire thing off my computer and start over from scratch. Music? Sure. Games? Never.

Well now... this complicates things.
It seems Amazon offers download version only to US citizens :/
Is there a workaround?
EDIT: OK i used borderlinx
I am now downloading SH3. I hope you guys get your cut :) I used the top right link and then i used the search to get it.
You can buy the SH5 DVD thru Amazon....... http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=SH5%20DVD

I got sh3. It seems it's more popular. If I manage playing it, I'll upgrade to 5. :)
