View Full Version : non existent radio messages

I have recently started playing SHIII GWX Grey Wolves and have come across something which I find to be a nuisance. Whilst in map mode and using `time/speed increase` to transit long distances quicker, I find I get frequently repeated "new radio message received". These occur every few seconds and each time they do of course they cancel out the `time/ speed increase`. Though when I check with the radio man I find there is `no new message`. I find it pretty annoying having to repeatedly reset the `time` setting every time this happens.
Is there a way of cancelling out this "new message received" business ?
Am I missing something here or am I doing [or maybe not doing] something stupidly ? :/\\!!

There are two options to choose from.
No. 1. Whether you get used to it and don;t pay attention anymore, just increasing time compressing again or:
No.2. You'll use this , mod http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=174225
and make sure you're enable this feature:
15. WarNews - by Stiebler and h.sie
TC doesn't drop down to 1 when a radio message is received.
OR
SH3 Commanders feature:
SH3 Options/ Time Compression/ When receive Radio Report - You can set MAX TC to whatever you like.

You might also want to consider using Wreford-Browns Mission Orders Lite mod:

One further alternative might be to take the radio man out of his station but I personally wouldn't do that.

The radioman will always say "No new message". You have to click the 'M' key to read it yourself.
