I've got some exciting news!

World War III Online is being developed as a free-to-play, multiplayer only

first-person shooter. Set during the height of the military might of NATO and

the Warsaw Pact the game will explore the "what if? scenario that the Berlin

wall did not fall, but on November 9th, 1989 a coup by hard-liners inside the

Red Army took over the Soviet Union. Fearing the dissident movement growing

within Soviet satellite states the Red Army generals decide to risk it all in

an armored drive to the Rhine River, plunging the world into World War III.

So who would be the "face" and who the "heel"?

I wanna play for the heel!

I loves me a bad-guy.

I suppose a clan system, with organized assaults?

Would be kinda cool. Especially when I show up with my BAR, and my will to die, and take others with me. I don't care if the BAR is not in the game, I will hack it!

I got leet cheat engine skills.

While I have nothing against this sort of game, this thread leaves me to wonder two things:

1. Why is this in this forum, rather than the one dedicated to...say...General Games?

2. Why does this post seem to be copy and pasted from (or to) several other forums with no regards for even proper formatting?

And yet now we are aware of it, I'd say it was done well.

He could be a spammer, sent here as a sleeper, but now he wants to run away with us because he loves us?

Oh, wait, this is real life. He probably just forgot the quote button.

One person said something negative. One other person pointed out that there is a forum dedicated to this subject.

Hardly an attack, and hardly defecation.

To make an almost funny parody of the 1970's film

Suppose they gave a [online] war [game] and no one came? :D
