Its taking FOREVER now.. When I started a couple weeks ago, it would load faster (still slow)

and on my top tier PC, its extremely annoying.

Is it because I have a million saved games now?

how can I delete some? (If this fixes it)

thanks

Is there not a delete option on the Save/Load screen?? Check it out.

1) yes
2) the above post pretty much answers that :)
I believe the option is in the menu when you click save game option.

well, there is an option to delete ALL OF THE SAVED GAMEs...
Because you wont be able to figure out which on is one...

Hmmm.... can I be in the game before I do that?

I mean there has to be a way. aren't you all experiencing the same thing?

I don't really have that problem, since I often override my saves. I also delete my really old saves that I don't need. This way it is kind of keep-up/on-going maintenance; keeps my save-files tidy :)

And if I need to completely clean it up and I don't care for any particular save (i want to get rid of all of them) - I just delete em from document's folder and from save folder in Uplay installation folder in Program Files.

But no, there is no way to identify a particular save from a game by looking at a file externally - at least not that I have found.

Curious.....how many saved games do you have?? Could be an issue to why you are getting CTDs as well from your other post. Unless you have multiple careers going....why would you need to keep saved games from patrols past? Keeping your current career and your current patrol should be all you need. Maybe keep the save from the bunker before the patrol. I'd try to clean out your un-needed saved games before trying to figure out why you are getting CTD. Maybe a corrupted file that was installed Mid Patrol??

how can i disable the sync? I can't deselect the option from uplay launcher.

you can't. The launcher actually syncs not with online, but a storage on your own computer. So, technically, you actually have 2 places where your saved games are stored.

Ah, good to know.. saves me the trouble from backing up my saves :D

Just to say, I always keep only 2 saves, one at the base (bunker) before the patrol one on patrol. For instance, right now, my saves name are :

1) Kiel 03/09/1939 [Bunker]
2) U-96 07/09/1939 21:17 [Patrol]

Once I saved on patrol I delete the previous save. Being using this system since I started playing SH games (SH4 actualy).

P.S: Is there a way to disable auto-saves ? can't find anything.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the option either.

Really wish I could though - it attempts to save at the worst times! :nope:

I think I have seen this under settings when U-Play starts. Similar spot to when you can choose to start the game off-line.

Found that option to enable/disable Cloud Save Sync, but that didn't change a thing, that autosave is still active.

And like Targor Avelany said, it ALWAYS seems to pick up the worst time to save.

because that option affects only UPlay. The syncronization that happens when we start the game actually relates to locations, which both are on your computer: it is a syncronization between folder in Documents and folder of UPlay in Program Files or whenever.

Hi,

I got another question - quite reverse. I never deactivated the online saving and now, I reinstalled SH and cannot find my savegames :ping: - thought, I saved them. Is there a posibility to force SH to download my savegames form the server? I always get an error when synchronisizing it.

Jan

Hi Jan
Saved game are in C:\Documents\SH5

When you uninstall SH5 you are given an option whether to keep or uninstall your saved games.
If you cannot see your SH5 folder then you know which option you chose.
