Sunk ship didn't count

Put 3 torps into a portculus troop transport and the last one literally blew it in half. Seconds later I get a radio message intercept from Dos Hermanos saying she is taking water and abandoning ship. I didn't get credit for this, which sucks because that ship is worth several tens of thousands of tons.

Found her on my way into breaking the fortress. Got my battleship kill and took her out on my way out of scapa flow.

Anyway to edit the files to get credit for the kill?

yes :( it sunk really fast and I was only like 1km away from it. So I don't know what happened. I even got screenshots of the thing sinking.

Even if I can't force the game to give me credit it was mad fun sneaking into scapa from the east side through mines and nets to see a huge battleship waiting for me on the other side :) Then to see the troop transport to boot.

Actually double checked and I did get credit. Counted as warship tonnage. I don't know why I thought troop transport would be merchant.

Troop Transports are Warships.... they carry troops to war. ;)

I happened upon a Neutral Small Passenger type-Troop Transport today heading out of Norway bound for the UK. She is now resting peacefully at the bottom of the North Sea.

one foot note to remember about the topic of sinking credits is if something else attacks the ship then IT and not you might get the sinking credit. if a plane or ship is firing at your target then the last blow before it registers as sunk is who gets the credit.

many times i've cursed planes who show up as its sinking and steal my tonnage :/\\!! but its just a part of the game
