Changed a title of the thread.
After alot of SH4 I decided to give a modded SH5 a go, but I was reading here that there are certain limitations to installing mods onto a SH5 purchased via Steam. Could anyone perhaps give me some tips which essential fixes/mods and/or mod packs should be available for a Steam user of this game and perhaps which are your favourite ones too?

most people dont use the steam version of the game and your name change doesnt change the way the thread title is shown so just create a new thread with the correct name and i think you will get some responses then
The one limitation is that you won't be able installing some of TDW's patches. Specifically the ones affecting sh5.exe. See its dedicated thread (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=1621039#post1621039) for further details. ;)

Thanks, I already checked that thread. Apparently all the most important bug fixing mods are not available for me. One that I especially dislike is the hydrophone bug where I hear the ship clearly, but I can't indicate it on the sheet of paper so that sonar guy can actually track it and give me updates.

Yes, I wrote "the one limitation", but I should have mentioned that it is actually a HUGE one :yep:
My suggestion is to buy a retail version of the game. By now it is very cheap (5 to 10 bucks), and surely worth the small extra investment

That I will do, but if I understand correctly it will come with Uplay and there I already have one SH5 registered. I wander will the second one become friends with the first one. :hmmm:

No, you would be given a new serial code that you should use for activating a new account :yep:

Can't I use it on an old account to register second key that would overwrite the old one? Would be more convenient.

I don't know, but I suggest you to be careful: if you use your serial key in the wrong manner, you risk being told that "This CD-Key has been used already" on any later attempt :-?
