Well, any barriers left? (http://www.navytimes.com/news/2013/01/navy-mabus-1st-women-selected-attack-submarines-012413/) What about the SEALs? Do you think women will ever be SEALs? Not counting a butch Demi Moore, of course.

Eventually sure, women will be SEALs. And there are no barriers left. Combat roles have been opened up to women. Here's the link.

As long as the standards are equal, I have no problem. I met tons of women in the military that could kick my butt without breaking a sweat.

As of right now there are still two separate standards. No word yet on a single standard. But in order for this to truly be a victory for women's rights they need a single standard, preferably the current male standard.

Women on submarines can only lead to one thing ... "Change is on the way"

change on how to operate the head that is: :woot:

HOW TO OPERATE THE HEAD
Open sea valve and stop, flood water into upper chamber as desired. Secure sea valve and stop.
Operate counter weight lever and allow water to pass into lower chamber
(after releasing lever, make sure gasket seats properly).
Open stop on 100 lb. air supply.
By use of rocker valve, charge volume tank to 15 lbs. over sea pressure.
Open sea valve on discharge line from lower bowl, open quick opening valve from lower bowl.
Push rocker valve over to "Blow"
(holding about 5 seconds.) Release rocker valve.
Secure quick opening valve, secure sea valve. Vent remainder of pressure in volume tank into bilges
(by putting rocker valve to "Vent")

No napkins of any kind are allowed

If you didn't eat it ... don't flush it

Then you sir (no offense) are a scrawny bean..

Not saying there aren't 1 out of maybe millions of woman who are more like men when it comes to strength.

The truth is, WE ARE NOT THE SAME!! men and woman ARE engineered differently.

During non combat/wars, sure, give the woman the opportunity to serve as infantry, let them feel worthy in that regard.

but don't kid yourself, a full platoon of woman vs men, the outcome doesn't take a genius to know what would happen.

Men are stronger than woman, period.

Now, strength doesn't always mean everything as an infantry men, obviously self reliance and endurance play a role, but being strong is a big part of the action.

That said, I personally don't know 1 single female that can pick up a 220 lb. man over her shoulders from the ground dead weight and run.

Not to mention, if there is a future world war, with fox holes and long hours on the fronts, woman and men should not be mingling together.

Why is it all of a sudden bad to say these things? let France and other nations do it, not the strongest fighting force in the world.

If they get rid of the double standard, why not? The ones that want to join will have to be able to meet that standard, if they can't then they can't join just like anyone else. Same for the ones that are in now, when the standard is the same the ones that can't meet it can get a nice admin separation and a ticket home. Thus ensuring only those qualified are serving.
