not sure if anyone can help, but here goes. A year or 2 ago I saw a photo of a U-boat crew on deck posing with a polar bear that that must have shot for the meat. If ya know of this photo, could ya be so kind as to point me to the link. Thanx Jerry

In the thread there's also a picture of a U-boat crewman hunting sharks with a submachine gun - they needed fresh food in the boats :arrgh!:

Sharks live in the ocean, however as far as I know polar bears don't :)

I heard that Wolfs lived in the ocean too, during WWII :lurk:

The bear was shot during Operation Wunderland II 1943 which took place in the East Siberian Sea.
