Prince Harry shot at Taliban insurgents during his time as an Army helicopter pilot in Afghanistan, he says.

The prince, whose five-month deployment to the country has just ended, spoke about his role as an Apache co-pilot gunner, and whether he had killed.

"Yeah, so lots of people have. The squadron's been out here. Everyone's fired a certain amount," he said.

"If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game."

Most likely the Apache has a very effective climate control system.

That whole Las Vegas thing makes him seem like a regular person to me.At the same age if I had the money to be in Las Vegas I'd have been butt naked too so would most any other 20 something male in the western world he was partying.

Harry is a royal of the 21st century. When his mother died, many people accused the Queen of being cold about it, but that is the era she comes from, when members of the Royal Family were meant to be seen as perfect, and heaven forbid that they were not, certainly the spectacle around the abdication of Edward, and the covering up of the existence of the First Cousins of the Queen because they had mental problems. However since the 1960s, the whole of society has changed, and we want a Royal family that is 'more like us', and Wills and Harry embody that, just as their mother did which is something that endeared her to the British public, and indeed the world.
There is still a very secretive world to the Royals, and certainly Kate will have had a crash course in public appearances (and she's done well, aiming for the Diana zone I think) and now she's pregnant she's going to be the spotlight of the British media in...however many months it is.
That being said, the Queen has done a fair bit to 'defrost' her image, appearing in the opening for the 2012 games alongside Daniel Craig is something that would never have happened even thirty years ago, so it's a sign that she's beginning to move with the times, and I think that this will ensure that when her time does come, and by golly she's making a shot at Victorias record alright, she will be remembered fondly by the British public, as her mother is.

Well if I had to pick one person of royalty to meet it would be Harry he seems a lot more care free than the others I also know that he was actually well liked by the men in his unit and soldiers don't give approval to like that to just anyone.

I'll give him a wave for you the next time he flies over my house...seriously, he's based at the local AAC at Wattisham and their Apaches make fairly regular visits, so there's a good chance I've given Harry a wave as he's gone past in his Apache. :haha:
They're good boys the AAC, and the Apache is a perfect fit for them, they have the freedom of the town I live in too, and they brought the WAH-64 over so we could have a look:

Harry is a credit to his family though, he's got the ability to level with the average person, and like you say, squaddies don't give approval to any old Tom, Dick or....heh...Harry. His mother would be proud of him. :yep:

EDIT: Just a small correction, just noticed that Harry is currently with 662 Squadron, it's 653 that has the freedom of the town, but they both (along with 663) operate from Wattisham as a part of 3 Regt, AAC, which is a part of the 16th Air Assault Brigade)

I thought the question with Harry was "who's your daddy"?

When I first read the title "I fired at the enemy" I was like "Wow." You are in a combat zone, firing on the enemy is the hole point of a combat zone.

The bigger question is: if he wore clothes, which uniform did he wear?:Kaleun_Wink:

In the Apache you need no uniform, just that helmet, to point your gun at the enemy.

Naked billiards, shooting taliban. Can this lad do no wrong in my eyes?

Although he was getting a slating from a couple of women on the Jeremy Vine show earlier, I think the general consensus is good.
