Is my geezer showing?

It's been a while since I played around in Osaka, but I could swear I remember cleanly detailed seaweed instead of this blocky alpha which doesn't turn into seaweed until I'm right on top of it. Some kind of LOD problem I assume, I have an Nvidia GT430, do I have a setting in the control panel screwed up?

Unrelated topic, been trying out sugar boats lately, what do I need to hack in the CFGs to speed up the recharge rate for the batteries to something more reasonable than 24 hours of charging per hour submerged?:zzz:

I think the recharge rate per unit of capacity is hard coded. By this I mean that the only way to speed up the recharge would be to reduce your battery capacity. Ducimus figured out a workaround for TMO, but it is not a simple file edit.

Ugh, I hope not. Playing with the sugar boats on full realism is an interesting challenge, but I'm sure the recharge rate, while possibly slower than the newer subs, was nowhere near as slow as that.

Anyway original problem solved;

Turns out the problem was a setting in the Nvidia control panel, antialiasing transparency was set to multisample somehow. That also affected another sim I play, Trainz train simulator, which was taking a longer time to focus textures - I was getting blurred textures in that game for 15-20 seconds after changing camera views.

I don't doubt that you are right. I often command a S-boat in RFB and am unhappy with the situation, but I don't know enough about modding to fix it. Ducimus dealt with the problem, though.

Here is what he said (post 4): http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=179370&highlight=recharging
