Well gun control argument boondoggles aside it was a pretty poor response by the Bulgarian secret service, assuming that is who they were.

4-5 guys all standing around delivering mostly impotent kicks while one guy tries to wrestle the cuffs on?

If that happened to the POTUS that assassin would have been immediately immobilized, buried under a thousand pounds of muscle. He wouldn't have even made it on the stage.
