Enjoy her, Triumph are one of only two of the classic UK bike manufacturers still going (Norton being the other).

Btw, since we're all here, I'm posting in this thread in the hope someone will be able to help me with a serious dilemma.
For some time now, my girlfriend, Carla, and I, really haven't been getting along very well at all. She doesn't seem interested in me any more, and has become very short tempered with me. At times, it feels like she is finding excuses to argue and fall out with me. Whats more, she has been going out rather a lot, and is evasive when I ask where to, or who with. :-? Her usual answer, is that she has been with friends that I don't know. She has also become very secretive with her computer, and phone, with texts arriving at all times of day and night. In the last couple of weeks, she has found an excuse to go out of the house just about every evening.....needless to say, i have become very suspicious, and as a result I decided to check up on her.
Unfortunately, I can't see the road from our house, so I haven't been able to see how she was getting home after an evening out. I wondered if she was using a taxi, or possibly being dropped off by a so-called friend. :shifty: On Tuesday, I decided to hide in the garden, in order to get a glimpse of her ride home. I hid behind my bike waiting for her to return, and while I lay in wait pondering my future, I noticed some oil leaking from the cam cover just behind plug number three. So what I need to know....is this a simple fix I can make at home, or will I need to take the bike back to the dealer?

it was time for something a bit more bike then the Tenere while honestly the Tenere is a fantastic fun bike and I didn't had the intention to sell it untill I saw the Triumph Tiger.
When it comes to traveling the Tenere has some limitations while it's doable due the vibrations of the mono-cylinder after a long period of times limbs start to fall asleep or feel numb for quite a while, in the mountains it's an excellent bike but on long more smoother and straighter roads a mono cylinder stops beeing enjoyable and you wish for small roads to come soon. As said the bike apart from that was excellent and if it wheren't for the Tiger I would've probally squeezed out more years as I was really content with it for the 3 years I've driven it.
This Triumph while it offers me double the Horse Power it has something what I found more important...it's engine is a 3 in line which is smooth as butter making it a excellent bike to travel which I discovered trying an older Triumph Tiger of one of my friends. It was then I took a look at the dealer and when I saw the bike in the flesh I was sold. It was a hard decision as I didn't want to let go of the Tenere but I couldn't affort to keep both nor do I want to keep both as the Tenere will probally end up gathering dust and I rather have it going to someone else who would enjoy the bike as much as I did on the road.

I've owned a 'few' bike over the years.
I really like them all for what each machine does for thier rideing style.
But I'm a Triumph Guy till the Universe goes boom, and 'Lucas' is but a distant memory told about only in whispered corners to scare little kids.
:haha:
(Lucas is why those Brits like warm beer)
I can say one of the best things Nancy and I did was to buy the '04 America and the '05 SpeedMaster.
Both have been the most trouble free rides we have owned to date.
I don't know why getting parts for any Triumph would be a problem now days.
Heck, I live in No Where Land Ohio and a Triumph Dealer is just under 10 miles away!

Lol, I had to visit the Triumph/BMW dealer to take my friend's BMW K1200LT in. It has some unknown ailment that is keeping it from getting spark.I started working on it myself, but quit in disgust. That think has a wiring loom as think as my arm--way too complicated (not to mention heavy!). So, to heck with it, let the dealer figure out what's wrong with it.
Nice Triumphs there. But I'm sticking with Suzuki.

Well had my first close up look at a BMW 1200GS we just got for the Rental....
looking at the controls and buttons I was like ''What the....''
The indicators buttons are on both sides? (obviously the one on the right does the right and visa versa) but what's wrong with just a single button on the left BMW! where you can do left&right and switch them off.... then there's buttons I don't have a fudge idea of what they do nor the things that bleep and blop on the display like a triangle with an exclamation mark and exclamation mark incide a circle like this (!).
Most bike are self explanatory as you can figure it out on your own without having to read the manual...but with the GS .... where's the fricking book!
