GWX 3 Gold

Hi all. Yesterday I purchased and installed SH3 via steam. It plays fine but I can't install GWX 3 Gold edition. I downloaded bin 1-7 and the .exe but they try to open in Adobe. My PC is Win7. I never seem to have luck installing mods in SH3 & 5 but am okay in the Total War series. What am I doing wrong? Hope someone can help. Cheers guys:hmm2:

WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:

They are zipped folders. To open them you need http://www.7-zip.org/. Use it to open the folders, then move all of the bin files into one folder and run them. GWX will then install itself.

I've read that you also need to point the installer to your steam folder.

Woo hoo!! Thanks guys. Not entirely sure how I did it but the mod is now installed and works a treat. Just having a reply gave me the extra boost to try again and persevere...took me four hours to trawl through forums before I admitted defeat and needed some help. Thanks again! Might even attempt modding SH5 but they will have to wait for now. One step at a time lol :yeah:
