every mod has a text file that tells you how to use it and exactly what it does, please read that

most mods also have a thread to anounce the mod is available for downloading and explaining what it does

Remember not to load the documents folder or any readme files when you install the mod with JSGME. It can and will corrupt mods. When I extract a mod from it's zip file I delete that part of it and only install the Data folder. If you need to reread and documents you can always go back to the zipfile and read them.

If the folder with readme-files has the correct name (documentation) then it can't corrupt any mods.. have a look here - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=163015

Document Folder Issues

it can be and most often is because mods name the text file explaining the mod as simply "read me", "documentaion", or "documents" and when more mods are installed, there it is again and again so jsgme has so many identicle named files things get corrupted.

if modders would only make sure to label mod text files as individuals such as "doofus mod read me" and not genericly it would help
