I'm wondering if there's a mod to put AI Controlled Japanese Submarines into the game and if there is such a mod, do they dive and attack you?

Also, is there a mod to make the propellers spin correctly? When I am submerged at 8 knots they barely seem to be turning. Same thing on the surface. When I am running at 10, they barely turn. And the turns are choppy.

I am running TMO 2.5 and the latest RSRDC

EDIT: Eh. I typed the thread title wrong...

You will see Jap and German subs with RSRD if you find them. You'll get a few messages about German subs later war. Enemy subs don't dive, just run the surface, but will use guns if they spot you.

Prop issue should be OK, it may be they turn fast and hard to tell, sort of like a plane prop. Try stopping and watch with cam from stop to flank.

Ive seen a german sub one time. It was a weird sighting. I posted a thread about that one. Somewhere...

Is it possible to make a mod that dives the AI subs and will enable them to fire torpedoes?

EDIT: This was the only AI Sub that ive seen in the Career HERE (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=200474)

My understanding is that this is not possible. We cannot implement new ai routines without source access and the routines needed to do this are just not present in the game.

My understanding of the game is that there is one submarine (you) and the rest of the naval world is made up of surface ships, and aircraft. That said, some have modded torpedo bombers and destroyers that can launch same. (They were erratic, though.)
