Fettuccine Alfredo the way I make it... OMG!
fresh hand made fettuccine, and a sauce that is nothing but cream (35% reduced by half), butter, properly aged parmigiano regiano, black pepper, and nutmeg.
Pitty I only let myself make it twice a year at most due to how ridiculously bad it is for you.

Polenta bake.
Fry onion and mushrooms, add some port, remove from heat and stir-in soft goat's cheese. In to baking tray, top with polenta (ready made or cook your own earlier!), sprinkle more goat's cheese on top and grate some mature chedder on top of that. Bake on high for 20 mins or until your cheese starts to burn. :03:
Or
Baked tomatoes.
Chop toms in half, place in tray - alternating with button mushrooms. Top with anchovies and mozzarella, bake for 30 mins at 200ºC (~400ºF). Serve in a large bowl with crusty bread.
It's just dawned on me that they are both vegetarian dishes, but I do love my meat, too. :D

I have simple culinary tastes. My favorite food is pizza; just good pizzaria pizza, not the chain stuff, not the stuff from the frozen isle. I grow tomatos in the summer, and I use those to make a sauce for my own pizzas. It ends up being very good, but just not as good as stuff the pros make.
I'd eat that stuff three meals a day, but would weigh 400 pounds by the end of the year. So, I treat myself to it once a month.
Hot Lamb Madras..... MMmmmmMmmmmm
Pizza with spicy sausage, peppers, tons of Garlic and cheese..
Its the best contraceptive known to mankind :arrgh!:
Cheers

Steak. Rare.
Throw a couple of fried eggs on the plate too, and I'm in heaven. :sunny:
A good baked potato with all the fixins will work just fine if no eggs are available.
:)
Sausage gravy and biscuits.

Pork roast with pieces of garlick put inside the meat at regular intervals, flavored with black pepper and salt, then covered with a layer of strong mustard. cut large pieces of onion on top of that, put in a baking bag and pour in some beer instead of water to keep it moist. Slow cook it for about 5 hours ate a low temperature, serve with boiled potatoes and spring onion with sourcream.

What i do like to eat a lot cause its quick to cook up is mince and spaghetti with sauce any Italian sauce will do. A sunday roast beef or pork or chicken. Fried eggs on toast covered in baked beans. Getting back into eating lots of fruit cause its very cheap here now lol Fruit and yogurt.
What i don't like to eat is salted meat - salted pork, pays to look at the label next time i buy a pork roast go home cook it up only to find out its salted pork. :/\\!! The neighbors dog had a good dinner that night.

Aye...smoked is not a natural 'flavour' in my book....more like 'burned' :)
