Hi again,

After playing 1.4 for a while (waiting for the 1.5 addon) I finally got the box :yeah:, unfortunately it came the day I wasn't home (last Saturday) so I havn't had any chance of trying it out yet.

I already started reading through the releases and order of installation for the different MOD's for this version (going through the readme's aswel) so not to get any unexplainable Bermuda problems of which I can't get out of.

Because it took quit some time reading through all those posts and readme's I'd like to run them by you guy's befor I start inserting them in the game, I do this just to make sure I don't make any mistakes and have to reinstall and reread the lot.

Thess are the MOD's I want to add and in this order:

TriggerMaru_Overhauled 2.5
RSRDC_TMO_V502
RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1
1.5_Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for RSRDCv502
1.5_OTC_Realistic Scopes for 8 to 5 RSRDCv502
Convoy Routes TMO+RSRD Map
Improved Stock Environment_v3_TMO&RFB
Fixed_CD_sonar_RSRDC
Fixed_Zero_Bomb_Load_RSRDC ----- Or does "Easier AI for TMO"cover those tweaks?
IJN_Radar_Fix_for_TMO2_v1
TMO_Visuals_for_RSRDC
TheDarkWraith_DC_Water_Disturbance_v2_0_SH4

Happy New Year and good hunting.

Greets,

JD

The mod list looks pretty good. There are some I don't use but they should be OK.

I'd try the first 4 or 5 and play for a time and see how everything works than if good add the others slowly and try them out.

Make a back up of your "Data" folder and keep it safe, if things go all to heck you can simply delete the bad data folder and replace it with your good copy and not have to re install the whole game.

I don't think Easier AI addresses those issues.

Thx Magic,

I'll give it a go and hope I don't mess things up... would like to play this game instead of having to keep tweaking and recovering form crashes.

Good point on the data folder backup , made a snapshot with JSGME at first install after 1.5 and all is fine, would I had any problems I'd've reinstalled the game and copied the data folder directly.

Back with a small(ish) question

Is the 3000y bearing plotter compatible with OTC?

When you install the 3K Bearing Plotter after OTC, what files get overwritten? (I'm assuming you are using JSGME.)

basically every thing in the bearing tool data folder does something with OTC

data/menu/cfg/maps.cfg
Every sub listed in the data/submarine/ for example: NSS_Balao_shp.dds

Question is... does that conflict with the main purpose of the OTC mod

for me i like to keep things grouped together in order of the mod they are for so i would do TMO then all TMO ad-ons or fixes to complete that mod install first, then RSRDC then all RSRDC ad-ons or fixes to complete that mod install, and so on with the other mods.

i am not saying this is the correct install order but if it were me i would install like this:

TriggerMaru_Overhauled 2.5
IJN_Radar_Fix_for_TMO2_v1
Easier AI for TMO - (if used)
RSRDC_TMO_V502
RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1
Fixed_CD_sonar_RSRDC
Fixed_Zero_Bomb_Load_RSRDC
TMO_Visuals_for_RSRDC
1.5_Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for RSRDCv502
1.5_OTC_Realistic Scopes for 8 to 5 RSRDCv502
Convoy Routes TMO+RSRD Map
Improved Stock Environment_v3_TMO&RFB
TheDarkWraith_DC_Water_Disturbance_v2_0_SH4

Thx Webster,

I'll give that a go if I encounter any problems with this campaign and I'll be adding them one at the time like Magic said.
