I sneak into Truk. :yep: I came in at night simply because I thought I could get some tonnage and get out thinking all high and mighty of myself. :har:

I came in from the north passage found the task force at anchor but there was so much fog I could not get a good solution unless I was so close that the fish were below minimum range. I had radar contacts but with out a course orientation I might be firing straight on and miss every time.

I sat submerged for 24 hours. :|\\ The fog lifted and I had clear sights on the whole lot. The log entry shows the kills. :woot:

The sadness comes in after I get back to port thinking they are going to love me for this one. :down:

I get one bronze star. :nope:

No new boat. I mean sure the medal is nice but come on mates?!?!? :-?

All this fire power at the bottom of the lagoon for one bronze medal??

Just seems sad ... :/\\!!

Big fleet boats and the bigger German boats seem to be too big and bulky to harbor raid. I always liked Harbor raiding with the VIIC in Sh3 because the XXI and IX were too big to get around IMHO. :up:

Ah, Medal of honor was removed with TMO, i would like, trying to put them back but with a higher tonnage requeriment, because i rembember in 1 career i received like 5 of them (earlier version of tmo) and that was the reason because it was removed i think.

good show, no doubt the heavy fog helped.

Truk is relatively unprotected in both TMO and RSRDC, which is surprising considering the large amounts of minefields, anti-sub nets and coastal batteries which have been added everywhere else.

We've all done it.....but it gets boring after a year, one big failure stock and mods never really dealt with. Haven't played in a long time, but I made most of the Jap harbors dang near impossible to get into and put subnets around where the capital ships are. I can still get into Truk for a few photo missions, but you stand about a 10% of getting out alive if you get spotted.

It's fairly easy to get into any harbor with most mods, bout all TMO or RSRD does is add a few more escorts prowling, just time the path and your into all the sitting ducks.

I guess Ducimus decided to put his effort into modding aspects of the game that more people would notice. Not that many veteran SH4 skippers get very involved with harbor raiding.
