Texas: Virus Sickens Cruise Passengers

A spokeswoman for Princess Cruises says more than 100 passengers and crew members contracted a stomach virus on one of its ships, the Crown Princess. The illness struck during a Venetian cruise due to end Saturday at Galveston. The spokeswoman said the cruise line suspects the virus was brought on board by passengers.

My lad was scheduled to fly to Miami to join his new ship MS Zuiderdam (as a reult of promotion to 2nd Officer) yesterday but a day earlier rang the Seattle office to tell them he had a stomach bug...they told him he needed a 72 hour period post condition so isn't joining her till 27th.
