Hi all,
Really new to this forum but have been playing SH4 v1.5 as Allies for 4 years or so.
Was just wondering if anyone can help me work out how many diff. ranks I should have in each "department/specialisation" to be historically accurate. Don't know if it's relevant but I'm playing mid-war in one of the larger subs (6 bow tubes & 4 stern).
E.g I notice on messages at the bottom there's categories for Capt, XO, Torp Off, Comms Off, Eng Off, Gun Off, 1st Lt & Comsy Off. and I don't know if all of these officers would be Ensign or higher (with Capt only being LtCdr+ & XO being Lt+) or would some be CPO's?
E.g. I keep all three stock officers in the command room, one on each watch. One being XO/Navigation, One 1st Lt and the third Comsy (obv. the last two are roleplay roles and I know sometimes 1st Lt. and Comsy roles were doubled up to one Lt.). The rest are PO's and Sailors, no CPO's)
Also how does the structure work in each department? E.g. would there be one officer in charge, a CPO to lead the enlisted men and the rest PO's and Sailors (I know technically all ranks are sailors but an immature part of me feels uncomfotable typing "Seamen" :))?
Thanks :salute:
