Has anyone made it to the end of the war? What exactly occurs in May of '45 if you're still alive?
I've made it to April 1945 .. but then an error occurred. who did the hard disk collapsed ... it was a few years ago, :arrgh!:
I have made it that far but only once. I sat most of the time in Kiel harbor on the bottom letting time pass.
The game tells you to head back to port. When you get there there's a lone woman on the dockside waving you in saying something in German I didn't understand. All very sombre as the dock is destroyed and full of wrecked buildings and smoke. A plane comes in and does a bombing run...
Then you go through the final ending cut-scene which is amazing in my opinion. I'll not tell you about it to ruin it for you but let me tell you its worth the effort.

Afraid not my friend. It's a little rule here on sub-sim not to do just that. it discourages players from buying and completing the game.
You will have to beat the game fair and square and it will be fun I promise you. You will love roaming around the British isles in horrid weather firing dud torp's and crash diving to escape from her majesty's finest.
Good things come to those who wait and I can tell you one thing for certain.
You won't find a single player here that will upload the video. that's a guarentee.

I know. It's just that I don't have the time; either I do it with low realism settings and feel like I'm cheating, or play it with decent realism settings and, after time, lose interest :wah:

No, I either cheat and feel like crap, OR play it like a man from 1939, which takes to long, seeing as I'll be at 1944 when Halo 5 or something comes out.

I have. It's just that the waypoint system, and the fact that the TC stops whenever you see land, and that my laptop starts lagging past 3072x that really destroys it for me. I mean, I've only got an hour to play it each day, so the fact that I would be almost always at 1024x, hunting in the Atlantic, which makes it really annoying. :wah:
I'll try it perhaps when I've got a place of my own.

Got mine from Steam, modded it with GWX, racked up over 280 hours gameplay, then modded it with NYGM. Totally addicted its one of the best games I've ever played.
I too have roughly an hour a day as I'm a family man, so I reckon 280 hours is good going :)
I know SH5 looks waaaay better, but I just love it.

How on earth do you restrict yourself to just an hour a day? :doh:
When I started to play it I'd start at about 8pm and after a couple of minutes it was gone 2am. :o

The Guy either hated SHIII and gave it away.
Or he liked it, in which case he would not have gone for weeks without it.
That loan story, you can try it on your parents (wasnt me!), your teacher (dog ate my homework!), or on your ex (wasnt nothing!we were just hugging!).

Asking on a forum where to get a copy is kind of weird, as you might have realized. Smells like you are asking us to provide a link where you do not have to pay for the game. To put it that way.
I mean... you also asked for a video of the ending without being willing to put forth the time and effort to get there. Cheating...? Pirating...?

Yeah I know, necro thread, but seeing as tomorrow's the end of the world it seems somehow appropriate.
I've played SH3 (vanilla) and GWX both through to the end, but admittedly didn't finish at Kiel. I didn't get any mysterious woman saying something.
Is she like Charlotte Rampling in "Vanishing Point" 1971 version (great film):rock::rock:, and does she say something like "I've been waiting a long time for you"?????:hmm2:
