The Native American tribe is still around.
Here is Lincoln's proclamation:

Why true Southerners (with ancestors who fought Lincoln's aggression) celebrate this holiday is beyond me. Where I grew up his name was still a 7 letter cuss word.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Have a great holiday!

Still mad because you lost your slaves? My ancestors fought for the Confederates and some where on the Union side so should I only eat half of a turkey?
In my humble opinion many "modern day Confederates" are blow hards and often their ancestors did not even fight for the South. Some of my Confederate ancestors joined Civil War veterans groups and socialized with former Union troops.

Ok - no acidic ironic humor here. Just straight talk.
I had two great grandfathers and three grand uncles that fought for the North and for Lincoln. One was with Sherman on his march to the sea (total war for the period). I just said where I grew up people hated Lincoln (and I kept quiet about my ancestor's march with Sherman). My mother's family were all like abolitionists and proud of their part in FORCING the Rebs into remaining in the Union (luckily for Britain and France when WWI and WWII came along).
Yes, sir, Steve I get it - less gobble and be more succinct.
I often get into a blab mood when I have a bit too much to drink. And ...."Red Brow! Shut up shutin' up!"

The perfect movie for the day: Home for the Holidays. Funny, acid, melancholic - and very warm-hearted. Jodie Foster (director & producer), Holly Hunter, Robert Downey, Anne Bancroft (actors).

Hey, Forsett played until the whistle blew, which is good coaching. The NFL does need to look at that stupid rule though.
I do hope Suh is suspended for the rest of the season for what he did to your QB. No call for that at all!

Suh being Suh. We got the last laugh and the W and that's all that counts.

No one screamed when Suh stomped on the GB players arm, well after the play
Nah, that was hilarious then.
Terrel Owens, caught more heat for dancing on the Dallas midfield Star, than this guy does for filthy play, freaking amazing. Typical Detroit.
