Disease killing great tits. :nope:

*Sure got a reputation

On a more serious note, there is a lot of stuff killing off our feathered friends. Let's keep feeding those left here over the winter.

Dang, first the Ash trees, now the Tits. Poor sods have had it tough since the end of the foil milk bottle tops. :nope:

You can still get them delivered, we did earlier this year but now we just get the OJ delivered (sooo much nicer than anything in a tetrapak).

I had my usual blue variety breed in the back garden as usual this year so can't say that I noticed.

Saw a programme on tv the other day that stated the sparrow is starting to disappear from many areas in the country.

Plenty of seed, bread and fat balls on offer here during the winter.

The Spuggies have been on a rollercoaster ride since...well...as long as I can remember. First they blamed it on the hawks, and decimated the hawks, then they said there were not enough hawks, and reintroduced them, and now they will probably blame the hawks again. It's probably got more to do with lack of places for them to nest more than it has predators.

That's precisely what the programme concluded with...man changing their natural habitat.
