Yes it happens just like all other industrial accidents. I don't understand the "Here we go again" comment. Should we shut down oil rigs? From reports it was caused by a worker using the wrong type of cutting device on a tank holding about 28 gallons of fluids. It wasn't a total loss situation like Deep Horizon. I am also sorry for the loss of life. I live right on the Gulf of Mexico and I respect these workers and their families. I wouldn't want to do that kind of work.
I respect the people who work on these rigs. And no, I don't want them shut down. But, I don't want to see millions of gallons of crude flowing into the Gulf either. Hopefully this isn't going to happen.

simple mistake, guys cutting a pipe that still had some oil in it used a cutting torch instead of a saw and the fumes exploded and started a fire.
the rig wasnt in operation and the fire was put out after a few hours with no oil leaked and just a light sheen of oil on the water from fire fighting efforts washing it into the water.
just a routine every day work accident

Really? I have two cousins that are rougnecks out there and yes there are accidents and even deaths occur but none of them have ever mentioned serious fires.
I not saying this is anything like Deep Horizon but it does not happen every day either now a guy messing up with the tongs something like that.. happens everyday out there.

Most unfortunate but relieved it wasn't a lot worse.
