If your hotmail email account has changed, like mine did, to Outlook and you are not at all happy with the change, it can be changed back. Open you account and in the upper right side click on Options. There will be a line to click on that will change it back. IIRC it will say something like "Change to Classic Hotmail". Click on it and all will be well again.

I was at the Mall again tonight and stopped back in to the MS Store. I got the attention one of the young lads and asked him why the change and how to revert back to it. He said it was MS and their changing over to Outlook.com as the primary email server, as Hotmail will be phased out eventually. Outlook is nothing like Outlook Express, nor is it associated with it. So with my telling him I wasn't at all happy with Outlook and losing things I liked in Hotmail, he showed how switch back again.

Now you know the rest of the story. ;) :D

I've never used Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, or any other big service. Many years ago my first account was with AT&T, and their proprietary address was 'att@home.com'. I loved being "at home", but they eventually sold their internet service to ComCast.

I looked for a small service that would suit my sensibilities, and today I use myway.com.

Oh, yeah, just as a reminder

Microsoft is cleaning house, and its not just hotmail and outlook merging

Windows Live Messenger (MSN) and Skype are merging too.

What is hotmail and how do you heat it?
