No it's got nothing to do with Cod and Iceland but this time it's about Scallops and the French....oh and a French fishery protection vessel that refused to intervene...no surprises there then :O:

The British fishermen are asking for Royal Navy protection but some of us Brits might well ask....what is this Royal Navy you speak of? :hmm2:


Fishermen are calling for Royal Navy protection after claims they were attacked by French vessels.
Kevin Lochrane, from East Sussex, said he was surrounded by seven or eights boats in international waters 15 miles off Caen in a dispute over scallops.

I heard about the scallop thing on Jeremy Vine's show, iirc Clinton Powell is a part owner of one of the boats, and was nowhere near his son, who was actually on the boat. Get it together BBC.

Don`t forget Norway and Russia. They pull out enormous ammounts of fish ilegally from Norwegian waters. Someone should sink their fishing fleet.

Well wasn't it Norway leasing waters around Novaja Semlja to fish there (among the sunk rusting submarine hulls and dumped reactors) ? :-?
