How do I manually use the hydrophone? also how do you walk around in the sub?

You click on the sonar man, and listens manually, you can not go around in SH3 you need SH5 for it, but I guess you can change the camera angle to another perpektiv....and welcome to SubSim!

[HW3]

Shift + F2 to move around in the sub. Click on the sonar man and the wheel will come up, then you can click on the dial to move the arrow to that point on the dial.

I click on him and it just zooms in on him?

Just use key "H" and you'll be in.
