It's October 15th 1939 with 170+ GRT (including Scapa Flow) and just returned back to port and ended patrol... to my disappointment I wasn't offered a brand spanking new VIIB.

Is there any requirements needed for a new boat, I don't think the date is a problem as I've sighted a few VIIB's docked in Wilhelmshaven?

My other question is when using manual TDC, how do you target a specific spot on the target while not messing with the accuracy of your target solution. If I try to adjust the bearing slightly to aim the torpedoes at the bow section for example it will also adjust the AOB.

New UI has scope offset, should I use Offset, Spread Dial or is there something better?

Modlist is Sobers.

Thanks.

Ahoy Interpol
If you're using the free upgrades mods, sometimes it's the second patrol, sometimes the third. If that makes sense. I'm playing a heavely modded stock campaign but I usually get the B class in either very late October or beginning of November. I also haven't nailed down any prerequsites to earning the B class other than sink a moderate amount of shipping. I have a feeling that sinking any of the bigger warships might have a positive effect but I'm not sure of this.
If you don't get it after your next patrol something might be amiss.
Good Luck

The only mod I have that effects equipment is the "Equipment Upgrade Fix", just started my second patrol in early November and have reached NW approaches to the UK.

I'll complete this assignment then head back.

Thanks Dogfish. :salute:

Yes, That's the one I meant. I call it that because there is an add on called 'Free Upgrades" that takes aeay all point costs for upgrades.
Anyway, Hope you get your new boot this time around.

Your best bet would be to set yourself in the position to use the Fast-90 method and shoot when the appropriate target area crosses the scope cross-hairs. You can adjust the torpedo angle on the TDC +/- a degree or so and fire amidships for similar effect. If you are using manual targeting and are in a position that requires more calcs, adjusting targeting point on the fly may be more trouble than it is worth, especially if time is an issue.
