Has anyone run into this? I searched the forum but couldn't find.
I'm in an s boat. I took some damage and nearly sunk by the stearn.

Hull repaired - water pumped - leveled the boat - and surfaced after out lasting and evading the escorts. On the surface I have no propulsion. submerged I do but have run out of battery. All damage indicates fixed.
the crew is rested up but I seem to be stuck. I have a half tank of diesel left.

one of the diesel engines was damaged slightly in the fight but was repaired
and shows no damage now.

- I'm wondering if it is like the co2 bug were the oxygen doesn't replenish when you surface. in that case i've been able to submerge and save the game. exit out to windows and go back in, surface and the oxygen indicator clears.

Thanks for any input.

So did you fix it?
If not, then your engine may in fact have been destroyed. This means that although it all appears normal, they won't work.

Did you lose your props?

Sounds like you have your props since you move underwater. I assume you have BS off. Are you playing stock?

You can try limping home. See if you can recharge while on surface, then run under water, slow speed to save charge.

Im not sure for SH4 but in silent hunter 3 you can just end the patrol and justify it by saying you were towed if you were close enough to friendly waters. Then roll a dice and 1 means your dead cause something happened to the pickup boat:woot:

What mods are you playing? My only guesses are either your crew is exhausted, or your diesels are beyond repair. If you can't fix it, I would suggest you roll a die:

1 to 4 ....... your crew scuttle the boat and after 1 to 3 months you get a new command (you have to start a "new" career with no renoun/medals etc.) which sucks, but is better than the alternative. :arrgh!:

5 or 6 ....... you and your crew perish at sea :dead: - game over.
