Been playing SH4 for quite sometime and still have not been able to upgrade my conning tower when playing a career starting in 1941. Can upgrade to a balao but I still get the bathtub style con. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

There have been patches and modding fixes about this issue,
Please list current version and mod being used.
Then someone will steer you to the correction.

I see that you haven't downloaded any mods so you might be playing stock.
To really get the game to play right you must add some of the mods found here
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=155786

and be playing the V1.5 version of the game, all the new mods ore for V1.5 or the U Boat missions add on. There are just too many issues with stock.

I am playing the 1.4 version without mods currently. I will try some upgrades and see how that goes.

Turns out I had already downloaded the 1.5 version on an older pc and was able to pull my previously purchased download and install it on my newer machines. I will see how this goes prior to any more mods at the moment. Once again, thanks for the help!
