RIP Herbert Lom. I've got the boxset of the Pink Panther films, unopened. I'll have to open it soon out of respect and definitely not for my amusement.

Not for your amusement? And you think that is the right way to farewell a comedian? If you want to honour the man, then have a party with friends, all laughing while you watch the movies!

There is the this short story by Ray Bradbury, one of his Irish stories. A rich man and collector of Whisky, or beer - I forgot the details, but probably Whisky -, dies, and the village is invited to the funeral, but his last will said that all his liquid treasures should be lowered with the coffin into the grave.

And so the people of the village all join the funeral, lining up at the grave, his whisky bottles in their hands and drinking and channeling it through their bodies and into the grave, and while drinking and pissing into the grave at the same time the whisky goes where the dead man intended it to be.

I also love the inscription on the gravestone of Edward Abbey: "No comment."

"See, now I am even starting to talk like him!"

'A Shot in the Dark' is probably one of my favourite of the series, will have to dig my boxset out and watch it again. :yep:
