Has anyone come across Red/White ships with thier Mastlights on outside various harbours? I'm guessing that these ships are some sort of signal to show merchant ships the route to a port but i may be wrong, it may be a bug as there is always another ship next to them that is not illuminated and flying a flag.
I have Thomsens ships installed into my GWX game but never seen these before, i am currently on patrol in November 1939, any ideas, explanations greatly appreciated.

These are light ships.
They are enviromental objects so don't bother attacking them at all.
The small ship next to them is to give warning to the player not to run into the lightships becasuse your watch crew can not see them.

If I am not mistaken , they are standard GWX stuff.

Yes, they came with GWX.

They are placed in shoal areas that are too far from shore for a lighthouse to work but still need to be marked. They are environmental devices so you won't sink them, as in wartime they were strictly forbidden as targets.
