Anyone know what would cause my game to CTD ever since I downloaded the plotter (1280x) I've gone on 2 patrols and when I get back around Pearl to End Patrol the game CTD. I saved once and loaded up and it did it again. Then loaded one more time and it let me end patrol that time. So im not sure whats causing it.

Have you tried installing the 4MB patch for SH4? That usually eliminates CTDs due to overloading as you approach a port. Worked for me.

Go here for the download, and an explanation of why you might need it:

OTOH, if you are convinced the 3000-yard bearing tool is to blame, you might remove it and see if the problem goes away.

I had this problem and the 4mb patch known as LAA or Large Address Aware resolved and haven't had a CTD in months. Google for Large Address Aware fix and you'll get the link to download. The 3000 yd plotter takes more memory than the stock plotter.

The 3000 yard bearing plotter takes a lot of memory. Capn Scurvy has always warned that on memory poor systems it might be a problem. I've run it for years on a 2 mB system with no problems. But it could cause problems for specific computers.
