So in the Dick OKane Manual TDC tutorial on youtube when doing the range he sets it using the "plastic triangle" however in the TMO and RSRD mods there is no plastic triangle unless im doing something wrong. I'm asking because I always end up shooting a a bit off of my release point (if I hit at all) is this because of the issue with the range meter or is it more likely that i'm messing up because of calculating the speed? When calculating the speed I do 3 minutes from one point to the next. One thing I have noticed is that my calculations come out in meters instead of yards. Could this be part of the issue?

So the questions

1) can I just set range to max 11000

2) is the varient in my hit point based on range or speed? I thought with
DOK range didnt have a effect as long as gyro shows 0 on the left gauge.

3) could the issue be with my game showing meters instead of yards?

So after doing the torp training like 5 or 6 times I figured out what I was doing wrong. Make sure that you set the speed of the torps before entering bearing, range, aob. If you set up the shot before changing the speed the gyro is 5 degrees off. So with slow torps it was showing 16 degree lead but when you switch to fast you only need 10 degrees of lead. Hit 8 out of 8 now.

With DOK you or any other 0 gyro angle shot you must set a range or the game won't come up with a good firing solution. The range you set isn't important but setting one is.

When using the 3 minute rule if you're using meters use 3 minutes 15 seconds to get the speed. To change to yards go to the options page and set measurement units to Authentic or Imperial.

Your hit point is based on speed, range is not important at 0 gyro angle.

When you input data always use this order Speed, AoB and last range/bearing.

Good luck and good hunting. :yeah:
