Well, as the title indicates, I've been an almost flawless lurker for the past 6,7 years, but have stopped visiting Subsim for quite some months now after my huge disappointment over the failure that SH5 presented to be (damn DRM...).
As a change in work life has occurred and I had a bit more spare time I somehow rediscovered that old dusty SH5 disc and wanted to give it another spin, with better hardware and obviously I had to check to see if the vast numbers of dedicated modders here have shed more blood and tears to extract more and more immersion and gameplay value out of that engine. And I was not really surprised to find that Subsim simply has one of the best game communities that exist, still shelling out improvements on a regular basis. Sadly it appears that still no simple "Megamod" project like my beloved RtdA or GWX has appeared, so I'll gues I'll spend the next week(s?) with digging through the vast ocean of possibilities to tailor the game exactly to my needs and demands.
So, in a new paragraph: Big Kudos and respect to all of you, supporting this game despite its shortcomings, helping out hundreds and thousands of sub game enthusiasts around the world!
