As a newbie to SH, why was SH5 released with so many cool features lacking from SH4? Like the sonarguy giving info on contacts etc...
Good or bad this is my opinion only. Some may not agree, but I think most will.
Money. UBI didn't want to spend anymore money on developement so they forced SH5 out to the public before it weas finished. The one good thing tho is all of the modders that have 'fixed' SH5 to where it's playable beyond what anyone thought it could be. They've probably done a better and more extensive job on SH5 than the developers would been allowed to do. The only thing that bugs me is that UBI got away Scott free selling a broken game. Same as they did to SH2, Sh3, and SH4 but on a more extensive scale.
Worst thing was UBI being so paranoid that they had to include a DRM again in their games to protect themselves from 'pirates', which it did not do. Pirates had SH5 even before it was released to the public... as they probably have for any and all of UBI's games so far. Others and I had proof of that back when SH3 came out, and informed them of the websites we knew about that had it. But UBI chose to ignor it, nor do anything about it. So much for being honest and blowing the whistle.

i wouldnt say they got away scott free, they lost a lot of money on the game directly because of the executive decissions made about time and money commited to developement of the game so they screwed themselves pretty good.
the only sad thing is they continue blame lack of interest in the game rather then accept responsability for thier own actions
Not being mainstream is killing thesedays:hmm2:
