Hi! Been on the forum for a month or so. Just bumped the DL limit. Would like to get to the next status level, with your permission.
Avid history buff. Been playing US sub sims since Silent Service. Loved SH2, regretted that it got lost in Windows. Eagerly bought SH4 on release, tried it, and tossed it in a drawer. Too buggy, too strange. Couple of months ago, stumbled across this forum. Tried SH4 v1.5. Still too loopy. Not a big modhound - IMAO, the game I paid money for should work without first aid from a lot of voluntary EMTs. But everyone here seemed to say that the mods made SH4 a real product, so I tried some. Now I'm mostly playing RFB with RSRDC and love it as much as I did SH2. That bug-ridden half-baked junk Ubi sold me is the basis for several excellent games. My regret is that the $50 goes to Ubi and not to the hard-working modders who made a game of their dreck.
