Hello everyone!! Obviously I'm new to these forums, so I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times.

My question is, it seems like the whole sinking of my sub is glitched.

when my sub takes any sort of serious damage it just fades to black and i watch my sub from the outside until it takes me to the gameover screen.

Um i would really like to see my sub sink or at least have a chance of trying to repair it, or hopefully land on the bottom if it is shallow enough.

is this a problem with the game? is there a mod to fix this?

Welcome aboard mate,

AFAIK, that is the "normal" death screen, happened to me too.

Trevally.

Yes - as Bill says, this is normal and your boat has taken too much damage for repair by this stage:03:

Thanks for the info fellas, much appreciated.

Thanks for the warm welcome as well.

You'll see more of me for sure, because for all its faults I love SH5.

I do have another question though.

How do I get the computer to fire the deck gun on his own?

I have had success using it myself. Takes some practice, but I've sped many ships to their watery graves with it.

I love the deck gun! I use it all the time on merchants and such. I just think its silly the Captain has to be on the deck gun to fire it. I could be busy setting up torpedo attacks.
