That's what it's been about all along, I'm sure Marcantilon said as much ages ago. :salute:
I don't think she's fooling anyone, on our shores or hers. Then again...the last war was about two dictators trying to stay in control... :dead:

It was the same in 82 regarding the military junta.....nothing more than an attempt to take peoples minds of the Argentine economic problems.

Well if you remember other politicians all over the world and nations, who did not use war to divert from inner problems and stay in power ??
What an argentine exception lol.
Anyway this article is much more important, and fitting to the thread's title of the "cat is out the back"
(err .. out the back ? :hmm2: )
The five-year-old feline Larry brought in last year

Tell Argentina to go screw, thay got whupped by a small expiditionary force last time. Despite being marred with catastrophes, the Brits still won.
Besides the Brits got one thing they don't. The USA as an ally. Not that they need us to kick around some 2 bit far leftist dictatorship looking to kiss up to Hugo Chavez, considering they did it last time with a few carriers and a small contingent of troops.
I read alot about the 82 Falklands conflict, and from the info I came across, the Brits had no chance. Fighting a land based airforce with limited resources, losing the helos, forcing the troops to land on the other side of the island, and fight thier way across it.
All the while coming under attack from mainland based air attacks with antiship missiles. The entire operation was well run, and well led.
(Note I called it the Falklands and not Malvinas):D

Nevertheless, we do have a few Argentinians on this forum and they're all as nice as pie, so lets not piss them off. :yep:

No disrespect truly intended. My critical view is towards the government, not the fine people who make the country run.
In all truth, they make noise about this every few years, I ponder it is used in the same sense people use illegal immigration, and abortion in America. Just a fiery issue that can be used to rally the populace.
Once again no affront intended on the citizens.:salute:
(Edit: If the citizens of the island rebel and wish to join Argentina, then all the power to them. As far as I know that is not the case. They should not be forced. It is thier lives.)
