View Full Version : CTDs on loading new campaign/saved games

Well, it's been 2 days of various attempts and fighting with the game.

If someone can help me to figure this out, I would greatly appreciate, because currently I'm a very sad panda.

The game loads fine into the main manu; it even sometimes starts the tutorial.

But any time I'm trying to load a new campaign with skipping tutorial, any of the saved games, or historical mission: the game starts the loading screen and about 2 minutes into loading CTDs.

Try disabling SubFlags_0_0_8_byTheDarkWraith, it helped me ..

Try to remove TDW_Ship_Inertia_1_1_0 and see whats happen..

Try my latest mod list .
Also if the Silent Hunter 5\Support\DetectionTool says it only recognises 2 gig then you probably need the 3 gig patch if running a 32bit os .

I am using your last list, and i have a 64 bit os... :/\\!!

I've noticed that when i installed the game (original DVD), didn't appear to write the serial number, only the laucher was installed...

I would like to thank you soooo much to enanhcing the game.
Good job :up:
I play the game with german language, so my first mod before your excelent list is "Geman Language Pack". In the list you have a mod for english speech, that i downloaded the german version.
I like the game with your List :salute:
I only have to say something,a point a view :) i would like to have Sub exaust smoke and see Life boats on the game when the other ships are sinking. Would be nice getting medals only one time per medal, and get Knight cross, then Knigh cross with oak leaves,etc, like Sh3 did.
