Some please help me install Achtung Panzer Operation Star

As the title says I need help as in tell me step by step as if I am a complete moron and do not know as single thing(as I do not).

I managed at some point to get the base game and the the two older addons running.

Then I tried the 580 patch and I just can not get it to work.I really want to try the latest addon but that requires v580 which I cant install.I select that "core" what ever file dec.addpack but it never works.

So I decided to uninstall and try the 580 patch again and again it simply never works!!! It is Ri-DQ-lus!!!

I love how Graviteams website the page that explains to you to climb mt. Everest er I mean install patches the pictures never load up.What is it with these Russian game developers?Do they hire people that spent 10 years in solitary confinement to design their patching process?

This game has the most horrendous patching process ever created and the person responsible should be covered in fish guts and tossed into a tank full of hungry tiger sharks.Before that they need to go through 48 hours of Chinese water torture while Barry Manalow is played at 180 decibels.Before that they should be forced to work as water collie in 1912 Shanghai.Before that they should be married to Henry the 8th be barren and get their head chopped off.

I finally got it to work.

The problem is that the v580 must be extracted into the direct folder I had crated a file location away from program files and for some reason when the game installed it made two folders named Achtung Panzer Operation Star a top one and the one with the actual files insdie.:doh: If the update goes into that top folder it is utterly useless and the program will never see it.

Why does windows love to make an extra folder like that?To annoy the crap out of you. Microsoft if I wanted two folders with the same name I would have made them.

This is why split apart complex patching/updating set ups are so annoying.Put your dang updates into one easy to use file.KISS Keep It Simple Stupid.

As soon as the update was extracted into the correct folder it worked just fine.
