I'm an old user here and am returning to subsimming after a few years hiatus... when last visiting regularly had a few hundred posts here as well as several mods, but for some very lame reason am unable to access the downloads section with privileges beyond "cadet" (whisky tango foxtrot)...
Onkel Neal! What gives!!??

Your account has been dormant for too long so put up a few posts for the server to 'recognise' you.

OK
'not wild about having to "chit-chat" and make otherwise fairly useless posts (I'm afraid that, being woefully out of touch with the latest goings-ons in the community, I won't have much of relevance or interest to contribute as yet) solely for the purpose of restoring download privileges, but so be it... ;)
Many thanks & it's good to be back!

PS
SH5 has become pretty badass with all the mod work from the likes of sober and TDW et al! Kudos to you guys and the many others who have been working over the years to make it what it is (or at least what I've been able to 'limitedly' download and discover so far... thank goodness for mediashare & gamefront)!!
I think though, & I don't know why, that my RFB-RSDC etc SH4 install still holds my attention more, despite it's many limitations... SH4 somehow, to me (& of course this is just purely personal affinity), seems to have more heart...
'wonder how others feel about it?

SH4 never did it for me, even with a U-boat. Maybe if I'd modded it more it might have been something for me, but I just returned to 3 and then 5. Not touched either for a while though.
Keep posting, your idle chit-chat is doing just fine. :salute:

Anything will do as long as it doesn't violate the forum rules :)
