Hello all,
Just getting started in the Silent Hunter series (SH5) and I'm super excited to start. I haven't played a subsim since Aces of the Deep, so I'm sure I'm in for a steep learning curve. I was told by a friend to stop by here first and get several of the graphic/realism mods first. So here I am

Probably good advice that I intend to follow, speaking of which I have my first question...

The game seems to run pretty sluggish at the moment. I have a GeForce 8600 card and 2 GB ram. I have an AMD 64x2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20 Ghz Processor and I'm currently Windows 7 (32 bit) sp 1.

Yeah shes a little older but I figured she would be able to handle it on medium settings, am I missing something?
