SH5 for $1, today 8/18/12 only!

It's at ubi.com, digital download, although you can order the DVD for an extra $6.99. Don't know if it's the same thing as boxed DVDs though. Better hurry!

Would the ubi.com digital version work on all mods?

Even at $1.00 I'd still get the boxed DVD. There can ge problems with a download down the road someday. And it can get pretty ugly too.

Also the $1 version is the collectors edition, but it dont come with the official strategy guide that it says is included, i would also like to know if it works with all mods, i have been told it does but not sure, i did just make a post, waiting on a reply now.

If you download the steam version and have to start the game through steams .exe - the patch mod by TDW will not work
So do not get the steam version

I have the $1 version bought today, tried the patcher and ran into an error, something like the patching was expecting something in the file and it didn't quite match (bare with me, I'm not a software engineer), so I don't think you can patch this version.

If it is patched to latest take a screenshot of the error the patcher app displays as I'm curious to see why (probably because they are using the Steam version!)

OK, my bad.
In my naivety I never bothered to check the game version because I assumed Uplay would patch the game automatically (like it did with From Dust bought a day earlier), but it didn't. After updating to 1.2 the patcher works fine. :up:
Now if only I could find a way to invert the blasted y mouse axis...

Bought the game with the ubi sales, and I've signed up to this forum that seems full of SH fans, and because I've seen a lot of good mods to improve the game. Forgive me if I have wrote something wrong but I'm not English
