Ahoy Captains,
I need to mention this 'cause it's been happening ever since I've played this.
After I load game saves, the control room comes up and I hear the compressed air sound, then I hear "All Stop". If I just order "Ahead Standard", I will find that I'm not locked on course.
I have always had to go right to the nav-map and order "Return to Course" and that places the boat back into "Ahead Standard" and re-locks the plotted course.
What for and Why?? Does this happen in SH3? I know it does not in SH5.
Is it fixable at least to the point after you load, your on the speed and course you were when you left the game.
Just wondering aloud...

yes its like that on all versions, its done as a default to make sure you enter a course for it and not blindly run aground.

the game always varties in how it places things so land and ships are never in the same place again after saves. you can be as much as a mile off from where you were before as well if you kept your plotted course it may run over land because of it.

its no biggy you just have to remember your plotted course cant be saved

I always took it as a default so that you don't crash your boat while getting re-acquainted with what you are doing.:ahoy:

I always set my speed first then go to the nav map and order return to course. I usually run at 1/3 while in my patrol area.

As they say: It's not a bug, it's a feature.:D

Not so. I have never had that happen in seven years of playing SH3. It's only with SH4.
