My band, Monkey Rum, is back in business after a long hiatus. We're playing a gig this Friday night, August 10, at a club appropriately called Five Monkeys.

The cool part is we're paying a local broadcast service to do a Hi-def video and audio stream of the show!

Our first supporting band goes on at 21:00 our time (that's 9 PM for all you lubbers). We don't go on until around 23:30 (11:30 PM here in Salt Lake), or 00:30 Houston (sorry Neal) and 01:30 east coast US time. For our British friends that's 06:30, and the Australians can see us at 15:30, which is probably the best time unless you're still at work.

It can be seen on FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/pages/uNreaLconcertscom/105305342919793#!/pages/uNreaLconcertscom/105305342919793

Or on Unreal Concerts' own website: http://unrealconcerts.com/

Just click on 'Live Stream' at the right time, and you can watch The Old Sailor make a fool of himself!

I passed out before 7:30 our time. :-?
How was the show?
And did someone record it, unfortunately it looks like the site has no archive to watch the past stream.

As far as I know it was a one-time-only live stream, no repeats.

I just wrote a mail to Unreal Concerts, asking if they have a recording of the show. I'll let you guys know when I have the answer.

Anything? Did you put emphasis on a large international following? :yep:

Okay, I just got the good news. He did record it, and we'll be getting DVD copies that we will share some of on FaceBook. I've watched the unmixed pre-release version, and aside from some technical hitches (missing background vocals :wah:) it's looking and sounding pretty darn good. Don't know when we'll have it up, but soon.

Also, as soon as I can arrange to get paid with PayPal, we'll have T-shirts for sale. The ones we've already made look like this

and we'll also have some with the logo made for us by Torplexed (see my avatar).

I received no answer till now  - well, I closed the mail with greetings from Germany to show the international interest, maybe it wasn't exotic enough for them, next timke I write that I'm from Kansas :O:

though I think the answer above me made the request moot -

hey Steve, black tshirts are always welcome (they make me loke slimmer:03:)

Hey let us know when the T-Shirts are available, and when you post the video(s) to Facebook!

Sorry to say there aren't going to be any T-shirts, or any videos, at least not from me.

I said the wrong thing to the wrong person, and suddenly find myself out of the band. I didn't even get to finish the recording. According to the FaceBook page:
"We are sad and sorry to say that we have parted ways with our long time bass player Steve Bradfield...We wish you well in all your future musical endeavors and cannot wait to hear your future projects...C'est la vie indeed Steven...C'est la vie...we love you..."

On the one hand I didn't want it to end, but on the other I can't say I was happy playing every one set every three months. I can say it wasn't my idea, but I can't say it wasn't my fault. Sometimes these things happen, but at my age the future doesn't look all that good. We'll see how it turns out. :sunny:

Sorry to learn of this Steve...perhaps it's time for a few searching questions to the other band members from one or two folk :03:

Nooooo! :o Sorry to hear that, Steve. Start searching the classified ads for Bass-less bands, who'll play more regular.
