He could have done a little better on the US accents just in New York City there is more variation what about a Chicago and a Boston and those from northern New England folks from Maine have a unique accent.Same for the south people he covered your basic "red neck" ok but he did not cover the accent that a southern with proper manners would use.

Anyway he probably only has main stream media to base accents outside his area on.Cant say how well he did the Isles accents but they sounded fairly good to me based on my experience with RAF members I lived near some Americans had a very hard time understanding the Scots.

I think this guy is quite talented, but for various (ginger:smug:) reasons I prefer Amy Walker, check out her 21 accents (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UgpfSp2t6k&list=PL6BB9C7AAE6470D53)

Well his Italo-American-NY accent sounded quite good. You have to keep in mind tha for most (non-English native speaker) Europeans it's all "American English" what you guys over there speak, similar like many Americans think "British English" is one accent, without considering the regional differences.

But for a nice, old Southern Belle accent you can also check out Amy Walker, this time with fire-hair: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R30D7v5RRSY - her eye expression makes it even more sexy! :DL

That is what I would call the posh southern accent you will see many a southern girl exaggerate their normal manner of speaking to sound like the woman in that youtube video.

That is true I suppose what you say about other people thinking of a country as having only one accent.

What I am thinking of is how the typical person from the southeast sounds when they speak naturally some red neck types do sound like the brit kid and some people do sound like the old timey posh southerner very few.The way I speak for example it would sound stereotypicaly southern but not like either of the above examples most we tend to speak a little faster in Florida a guy from up in the panhandle he will combine many of his words I am talking about native Floridians which are becoming rare Florida has more people that came from other states than any other short maybe of California so I blame all the stupid laws and ideology on these invaders they come down here with all their stupid ideas in tow.

This man here is how your typical southerner sounds with a little variation from region to region.I would also agree with him when he says that southern accents gradually going away my daughter does have the accent that I have. One reason is because of the preconceived notion by others that the southern accent is slower and therefore it is assumed the person speaking it is dumber so many will speak one way at work and another at home the power of assimilation.

Which American accent do you mean?Your own dialect does not count you learned that one from birth.

I used to do a really good Boston Southie accent I used to do it to mess around with
a Staff Sargent(I was also an NCO and this was off duty) in my unit that was a real life Southie and had a very interesting life before joining the military to say the least.
I used to also do a Welsh(or close enough) accent to shine on a RAF member that rather disliked the Welsh that caused a fist fight on the 4th of July in the middle of Germany resulting in a USAF victory RAF loss and Welshmen very pleased.

Now there's a good question. There is no "American" accent. A Texas accent is not a Georgia accent is not an Iowa accent is not a Boston accent is not a New York accent is not a California accent. I talk to Jimbuna on Skype almost every day, and while he is technically in England he doesn't sound anything like a Cockney like Michael Caine, or anything like Paul McCartney, who is from Liverpool.

Here is a frightening list of the hugely varied number of accents withing the English-speaking world.

While the Chinese may all sound alike to one whose native language is English, within their own world it's even worse.

According to wiki, the answer my friend is blowing in the midwestern wind - looks like their farmer's daughters don't only make you feel alright, but can also teach you standard US English. (*)
