Clean Install

Hey there guys,

Just a quick question about the simplest of tasks lol

I installed sh3 for the first time in a while to give gwx another go but when I install the game it asks for me to re-boot to finalise it which seems standard with some old game but every time I try fire up the game it asks me to re-boot to finalise lol so I am stuck in this constant loop. I am assuming my cd is broken in some way but has anyone else had this?

I have installed & re-installed SHIII several times, even have 3 different installation but this has never happened to me yet. May be it would be a good idea to do a registry clean and if necessary a defrag. before trying to do a new fresh install! Only a suggestion... This has worked for me installing another sim (IL2-1946)....

Try this:
Uninstall game using the disc, clean registry, defrag, if your disc has starfarce, use the tool to remove drivers and other (root) files, throw away that disc and get a new one without starfarce and patched to 1.4b and reinstall.
If you still have a problem, check back for some more steps that might be necessary to get you going.:arrgh!:
