Sorry if it's already here in this huge database......couple of ???'s for anyone who cares to chime in....

1. Is the Tirpits Pier modeled in any of the sh3 mods out there??--rereading Werner's Iron Coffins--from the description I read--It was a long wooden single pier going aways out into the water(is that correct?)----have used the differnt GWX versions and the coresponding schluess mods--V.7 seemed to change locatoions a lot---but is part of the set harbor there in Kiel supposed to simulate where it was/is located?

2. Anyone know what and if there was a usual average set of time that uboat crews got to spend on leave/rest in port between routine patrols (nonwithstanding lenghty repairs/overhauls)?

3. I know/read a little on the long going enigma project here---but is there any actual 'strategy' type game out there covering the uboat war in the atlantic--maybe something like a witp in a north atlantic setting where you act as the Bdu?

4. Almost forgot---what parameters are needed to be met to get the game to register a "convoy contact" report from you to bdu in the message logs?? (I want to say iv'e seen it happen before but on my last conatct ---my hydrophone registered it, my watch officer spotted it, and i even locked ships from the convoy on the TBU----but even after sending repeated "contact" reports---bdu is not registering the 'contact report' in the logs.......

4. I believe that you need to 'see' at least three ships from a convoy, i.e. have their symbols appear on the F5 map.

I have learned that a "contact report" is really only counted as valuable when you report the presence of 3 or more enemy vessels. I belive the idea was that BdU might send either more subs or the Luftwaffe to come help put them on the bottom.
Just what I *think* I've learned in here.
Hope that helps,
Zygoma
